Attention to the taxi drivers from the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

December 13th, 2006 by kelvincho

Before starting, make sure that he uses the meter. Don’t accept if they propose you a price before hand. A taxi trip to Ramada Hotel, for instance has a normal price of 40 RMB. I have been asked by such a driver 150 RMB. Therefore I got off, went 50 meters towards right, and took another cab from the domestic terminal, paying the correct price this time.

Some 5 or 4 stars international hotels will also give you a note before you get on the taxi from their hotel. Basically, on that note, you will see that they will allow you to write down the taxi driver number and details.  So if you happened to get on a *VIP fare* taxi, do write it down and pass it to the hotel when you back.  And most the time, the taxi drivers will not play tricks with you and don’t take you merry around.:-)

Taxi Driver ID

This is a funny picture but anyway, it is just to give you an idea that you will see a similar Taxi Driver ID when you get on the taxi. That’s their taxi number in case you need to file a complaint.
